A P.E. class your kid will actually look forward to. Our midday homeschool jiu jitsu class meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, so it fits right into your school day. Your child builds focus, discipline, and confidence while they learn real self-defense and get moving with other homeschool kids. No experience? No problem.

A P.E. class that fits homeschooling

You already handle the reading, the math, and the science. Let us handle P.E. Our homeschool class runs midday, three days a week, so your kid gets a real workout and a real skill without eating into your evenings or your lesson plan.

It's more than checking a box. Your child spends 1 hour each class on the mats learning jiu jitsu at their own pace, making friends, and burning off the energy that builds up on a school day at home. Parents tell us their kids come home calmer, more focused, and proud of something they did themselves.

Our homeschool jiu jitsu class:

  • Counts toward your P.E. requirement
  • Gives your child regular social time with other homeschool kids
  • Builds focus and self-discipline that carry back to the school table
  • Teaches practical self-defense, taught patiently and safely

Fits your P.E. requirement

One class covers the movement, the exercise, and the skill-building your P.E. hours are meant to include.

Midday, three days a week

Class meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 2pm. Come all three days or the days that work for your family.

Evening classes too

Our head kids coach, omeschool students can also join our evening kids classes, so your child can train more than three days a week.

skills for life

Real self-defense, taught the right way

We hope your kid never needs these skills. But knowing how to stay safe, and knowing how to walk away, is something every parent wants for their child.

Our coaches teach jiu jitsu the patient way, at a pace that fits your child. Kids learn how to defend themselves against a bigger kid, and just as important, they learn the self-control to settle a problem without a fight whenever they can. That confidence tends to show up everywhere, not just on the mats.

Martial arts counts as an approved P.E. and physical-activity expense, so your child's mat time is covered. New to how this works? Just ask and we'll walk you through it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this class count for P.E.?

Yes. Jiu jitsu is physical activity, skill-building, and exercise all in one, which is exactly what P.E. is meant to cover. Many homeschool families use it for their P.E. hours.

What ages is the homeschool class for?

The class is for kids ages 7-13. If you're not sure whether it's the right fit for your child, give us a call and we'll help you figure it out.

When does it meet?

Class meets midday on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 2pm. You're welcome to come all three days or just the days that fit your schedule.

My child has never done martial arts. Is that okay?

No experience? No problem. New kids start with us all the time, and your child goes at their own pace. Nobody is ever the only beginner in the room.

Can my child come to evening classes too?

Yes. Homeschool students also get access to our evening kids classes, so your child can train more than three days a week if they want to.

Can I use my PEP or Step Up scholarship?

Yes. Martial arts is an approved P.E. and physical-activity expense under Florida's PEP and Step Up scholarships. As an approved Step Up provider, you can pay for class directly through your scholarship account, with no out-of-pocket and no reimbursement paperwork.

What should my child wear?

Comfortable workout clothes are perfect to start. We train no-gi, so there's no special uniform to buy before your first class.

Do we have to commit right away?

Nope. Come try a free class first. See if your kid loves it, then decide.
